Strengthening NPS and building tomorrow’s workforce has never been more important - Mark your calendars now for Principal for a Day – Tuesday, February 17, 2015.
65 Community and Business leaders took the first steps to help strengthen education and develop tomorrow’s workforce on Wednesday, February 12th. Supporting our schools during this budget crisis can help educators continue to build momentum at a crucial time, and ensure that reform efforts continue to take root despite the current financial challenges. As a business or community leader, they are uniquely positioned to lend skills and talents to ensure that Norfolk’s youth graduate with the skills necessary to succeed in college and or in the workforce.
By getting involved with Principal for a Day you participate in an exchange to share ideas, resources and a sense of responsibility for our schools. You will shadow a principal, administrator or lead teacher to learn more about the successes they have achieved and the challenges they face. You will interact with students who aspire to enter your industry or profession. You will also have an opportunity to discuss with educators how you might be able to work together in the future.
Through Executive for a Day, you will be able to host an educator at your workplace where they will learn about leadership and management strategies they can implement at their school. ... See MoreSee Less
